קרבן נתנאל אות ק על הרא"ש, עירובין פרק ז, סימן א (דף עו:) (ש"ס ווילנא); ז"ל

ואי חלון עגול הוא צריך שיהיה בהיקפו שבסר נכי חומשא.  והא דאמר רבי יוחנן חלון עגול צריך שיהא בהיקפו עשרים וארבעה טפחים.  אתיא כרבנן דקיסרי דאמרי עיגולא מגו ריבוע ריבעא ריבוע מגו עיגולא פלגא וליתא להך דדייני דקיסרי כדאמרינן בפ"ק דסוכה דף ח':  עכ"ל

"If the window is round, it must have a circumference of [at least] 16.8 [tefachim]."  Rabbi Yochanan's statement that a round window must have a circumference of [at least] 24 tefachim follows [the view of] the rabbis of Caesarea, who say that ... a square inscribed in a circle has a perimeter of two-thirds the length of the circle's circumference; and the opinion of the judges of Caesarea is incorrect, as is says in the first chapter of Sukkah, page 8[b].  [translation by HWMNBN]
