ויתן אותם אל[ק]ים ברקיע. להורות כי מזל קבוע וגלגל חוזר, ובזה הודו חכמי ישראל לחכמי א"ה [פסחים צ"ד ע"ב]: עכ"ל

“God placed [the luminaries] in the sky” [Genesis 1:17]. This teaches that the star is fixed and it is the sphere that rotates; the Jewish sages conceded this point to the gentile sages (Pesachim 94b).
